- Slice Vidalia sweet onions into ¼-inch thick rounds.
- Lay the sliced onions in a single layer in the baking dish and sprinkle salt, garlic powder, and oregano over them.
- Cut unsalted butter into small pats and distribute them evenly across the onions.
- Layer the cheeses starting with the Italian blend, followed by cheddar and finishing with grated Parmesan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.
