Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Gently clean the mushroom caps with a damp paper towel and remove the stems.
- Pre-cook the mushroom caps in the oven for 5-7 minutes to release moisture.
- Combine the Italian cheeses, fresh herbs, minced garlic, and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl.
- Stuff the pre-cooked mushroom caps with the filling mixture.
- Drizzle melted butter over the stuffed mushrooms.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle additional cheese, and bake uncovered for 2-3 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
