Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and thaw the frozen puff pastry sheets for about 15-20 minutes.
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry. Cut out approximately 8 ghost figures using a ghost-shaped cookie cutter.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on half of the ghost-shaped pastries, leaving a ¼-inch border around the edges.
- Layer thin slices of pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara. Customize with your favorite toppings if desired.
- Carefully place the remaining ghost-shaped puff pastry cutouts on top and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Beat an egg with a splash of water to create an egg wash. Apply this mixture over the tops using a pastry brush.
- Bake the ghost pastries for 13-15 minutes until they are puffed up and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for about 3-5 minutes before serving.
