Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet with butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until melted, then mix into the dry ingredients along with the beaten egg.
  3. Dust a clean surface with glutinous rice flour, turn the dough out and shape into a rectangle, rolling it to 10 inches by 6 inches.
  4. Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, and cut into 8 strips.
  5. Fold each strip into a triangular form, using toothpicks to secure them as trees, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden-brown. Let cool for a few minutes on a wire rack.
  7. Mix icing sugar with milk to create the glaze, drizzle over the trees, add sprinkles, and optionally dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Serve fresh the same day or warm briefly in the microwave to enjoy.
