Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until melted, then mix into the dry ingredients along with the beaten egg.
- Dust a clean surface with glutinous rice flour, turn the dough out and shape into a rectangle, rolling it to 10 inches by 6 inches.
- Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, and cut into 8 strips.
- Fold each strip into a triangular form, using toothpicks to secure them as trees, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden-brown. Let cool for a few minutes on a wire rack.
- Mix icing sugar with milk to create the glaze, drizzle over the trees, add sprinkles, and optionally dust with powdered sugar.
- Serve fresh the same day or warm briefly in the microwave to enjoy.

Notes
Ensure to use glutinous rice flour for the chewy texture. Best enjoyed fresh within 1 day, stored properly.
