Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the zucchini lengthwise into 1/4-inch thick slices, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the zucchini slices, followed by half of the ricotta cheese, then marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, ending with mozzarella on top.
  5. Sprinkle dried oregano over the top layer and bake for 20-25 minutes until zucchini is tender and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven, let rest, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
