  • 0.75 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso decaf coffee is great for no jitters
For the Toppings
  • 1 dollop whipped cream optional, use coconut whipped cream for dairy-free
  • to taste crushed graham crackers optional topping
  • to taste strawberry syrup or jam optional for extra flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine 3 diced strawberries, 1 tablespoon sugar, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the strawberries soften and become syrupy.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and mash the strawberry mixture for a rustic texture or blend it for a smoother syrup.
  3. In a separate saucepan, gently heat ¾ cup of milk over medium-low heat until warm, frothing using a whisk or handheld frother.
  4. Spoon the prepared strawberry syrup into a mug, pour ¾ cup of strong brewed coffee or espresso over the syrup.
  5. Gently pour the frothed milk over the coffee and strawberry mixture, then stir gently to combine.
  6. Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers if desired.
  7. Serve warm or cool for an iced version, enjoying every sip!
