  • ½ cup heavy cream Half-and-half can lighten it up.
For the Cheesy Topping
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Nutritional yeast is a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Swap for vegan cheese if needed.
For the Garnish
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped Basil works well too, or can be omitted.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 1-2 minutes shorter than package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat, then add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turns pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in chicken broth or white wine, heavy cream, and lemon juice and zest; simmer for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. In a bowl, combine cooked pasta with shrimp and sauce mixture, tossing until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer pasta mix into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the pasta mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve after a few minutes to cool.
