Cooking Instructions
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes until translucent and lightly golden.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, coating the onions evenly and allowing it to bloom in the warm butter.
- Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir gently to combine with the onion mixture for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the water, add salt and black pepper, and stir everything well.
- Increase heat to high and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- After cooking, remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes while still covered.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes
Rinse rice until the water runs clear for fluffy results. Use yellow or sweet onions for the best flavor, and avoid lifting the lid while simmering.
