Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin or Ribeye Steak Choose a cut that offers juicy and flavorful bites; strip steak or filet mignon are great alternatives.
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Essential for searing the steak, enhancing its flavor while preventing it from sticking to the pan.
  • 3 tbsp Butter Adds richness and infuses the steak bites with irresistible garlic flavor.
  • 6 cloves Garlic Minced; this key aromatic ingredient heightens the flavors of both the steak and the creamy sauce.
  • Salt & Black Pepper Essential for seasoning; feel free to adjust to your preference.
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Optional; adds a touch of heat.
For the Alfredo Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Forms the creamy base for the Alfredo.
  • ¾ cup Parmesan Cheese Grated; using fresh cheese will amplify the flavor.
  • ¼ tsp Italian Seasoning Optional; adds depth to the sauce.
For the Pasta
  • 20 oz package Cheese Tortellini Acts as a delightful base; fresh or frozen varieties work great.

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Skillet
  • Cast Iron Skillet
  • colander

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the cheese tortellini in a large pot of salted boiling water for 3-5 minutes until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, add 2 minced garlic cloves, and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Mix in ¾ cup of grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  3. Pat the steak cubes dry, season with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat, and sear the steak bites for 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add 1 tablespoon of butter and remaining minced garlic over steak bites, cooking for another minute to infuse flavors.
  5. Plate the creamy Alfredo tortellini, top with the garlic butter steak bites, and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the steak. Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.
