Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of fresh yeast with 1 cup of lukewarm milk and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Allow the yeast to activate for about 10 minutes until bubbles form.
  2. Gradually mix in 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 eggs, 4 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  3. Transfer the kneaded dough to a lightly greased bowl, covering it with a damp cloth. Set it in a warm spot, allowing it to rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  4. Punch down the dough gently to release excess air, then roll it out to about half an inch thick. Cut it into donut shapes using a cutter.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the donuts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
  7. Fill each donut with the whipped cream and dust the tops with powdered sugar.
