  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill or chives/basil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice for finishing

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Fisherman's Net Pasta Sardine Crumble
  1. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté garlic and red onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili flakes, canned tomatoes, white wine, and sugar. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, then add black pepper, parsley, and lemon zest.
  4. In a small pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté breadcrumbs until golden, then add sardines, capers, and dill, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine spaghetti with tomato sauce, adding reserved pasta water to create a silky sauce.
  6. Plate pasta and top with sardine crumble. Serve immediately.
