  • 3 tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar can substitute with honey or coconut sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) using fresh garlic gives the best results
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (grated) fresh is better than ground
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil or sesame oil for extra flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Honey can substitute with maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to your preference
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder or fresh chilies for more heat

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs boneless and skinless
Garnishes
  • 1 bunch Fresh Herbs (cilantro) or green onions
  • 2 pieces Lime Wedges or lemon for a twist

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, vegetable oil, honey, black pepper, and chili powder until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C). Brush the grill grates with oil for non-stick properties.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and lime wedges before serving.
