  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Mix dried basil and oregano as a swap

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the manicotti shells according to the package instructions, ensuring they are al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent, about 3-4 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  3. Add ground beef or sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in canned tomato sauce and Italian seasoning, simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasoning in a mixing bowl, mixing until creamy.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheese filling.
  8. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, add stuffed manicotti, pour remaining sauce over.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes and serve with fresh herbs.
