Preparation
- Grease a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Insert bamboo skewers into the tops of the Granny Smith apples.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and liquid glucose over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Cook the toffee mixture until it reaches 150ºC (310ºF) on a candy thermometer, avoiding stirring after it simmers.
- Once the toffee reaches temperature, dip each apple quickly, swirling to cover completely.
- Allow the dipped apples to cool completely on the lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
