Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Insert bamboo skewers into the tops of the Granny Smith apples.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and liquid glucose over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Cook the toffee mixture until it reaches 150ºC (310ºF) on a candy thermometer, avoiding stirring after it simmers.
  4. Once the toffee reaches temperature, dip each apple quickly, swirling to cover completely.
  5. Allow the dipped apples to cool completely on the lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
