Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). For store-bought crust, let it rest for 10 minutes. For homemade crust, roll out the dough, press into a pie pan, and pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, pour a splash of olive oil, then add ground beef and sausage, cooking until browned (8-10 minutes). Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, draining excess grease.
  3. Spread a layer of pizza sauce in the pre-baked crust, sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese, followed by the cooked meat mixture. Add another layer of pizza sauce, topped with remaining cheese and pepperoni.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden, and the crust is a beautiful golden hue.
  5. Allow the pie to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to help the filling set and make it easier to serve.
