Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a large pan or wok over high heat for about 2 minutes until hot and shimmering. Add 2 tablespoons of canola oil, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
  2. Add 2 cups of sliced cabbage and stir continuously for about 3-4 minutes until softened and golden.
  3. Incorporate 3 cloves of crushed garlic, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of regular soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir to combine and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Introduce 3 cups of cooked chow mein noodles and 2 tablespoons of water. Toss for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. If using, add 1 cup of bean sprouts and toss for another 2-3 minutes until warmed but crisp.
  7. Transfer to serving plates and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds before serving.
